Sybil Starr A Lady Who Just Loves To Fight (2)

KAB : How important is winning to you ?

Sybil Starr : I love to win, I want to win.  But, I must be able to fight another day, and being humbled by fighting those who are better than me, keeps me humble and improving.

KAB : You're undefeated in competitive wrestling, is it hard staying humble ?

Sybil Starr : No. I train with men and opponents twice my size.  I take a regular beating from many people. it keeps me very humble and always working to improve.  I realize that Martial arts are a life time discipline and getting my butt whooped on a regular basis keeps me training and growing.

KAB : Which win has given you the most satisfaction ?

Sybil Starr : hmm. . most satisfaction?  Hurricane Havana

KAB : Why was this victory so sweet ?

Sybil Starr : She was a poor sport, she talked trash the whole time, underestimated me and after the match would not even do an interview. She was supposedly undefeated before our match, so all these things factored in to a very satisfactory win.

KAB : How did you tame the hurricane and force her submission ?

Sybil Starr : Body Scissor. . she kept talking about how body scissors didn't do
anything to her, and finally, I was like, "Really?" and thought I would really put them on her. . LOL. . and well, they must have hurt at least a little. . LOL

KAB : Is there any female celebrity you would like to wrestle with if you could choose ?

Sybil Starr : Do you think Angelina Jolie wrestles ?

KAB : Not sure, we'll ask Angelina next time we're in touch :) You run a successful business producing wrestling videos, how did this venture come about ?

Sybil Starr : hmm. . I fell into it?  LOL I have a BA in theatre and have worked as an entertainer my whole life. . I guess it was just natural to start producing my own video line. . .

KAB : Do you see your video production work as entertainment more so then combative sport ?

Sybil Starr : Yes, most of what I produce is scripted or semi-competitive, I have only produced 4 seriously competitive videos.

KAB : Has it been easy attracting other females to work with ?

Sybil Starr : NO it is very hard to find women who will fight you competitively. . most are fine doing scripted matches and the like, but will not go for real. . .

KAB : Why do you think this is ?

Sybil Starr : It is hard for a woman to fight.  We have to overcome many taboos we
have been taught in order to do so.

KAB :  Is this the reason you're moving into the MMA arena ?

Sybil Starr : No.  I have been training in MMA, I just want to see what I know, and there is no better way to do this than to compete.

KAB : You've just returned undefeated from an International Tournament in Greece, how many fights did you win ?

Sybil Starr : I had six fights in total and six wins.

KAB : How did this tournament come about ?

Sybil Starr : Jeff from Fighting Style invited me.  It is an international "by invite only" event.  The girls are all about my size and experience. It was fun and very interesting. I am not sure how many years they have been running this event, but this is not the first time.

KAB : What type matches did you be compete in ?

Sybil Starr : 5 wrestling matches and one catfight

KAB :
You mention a catfight, how did that differ from submission wrestling ?

Sybil Starr : The girls are allowed to pull your hair, punch your body and smack your face open palmed

KAB : What do you say to those who will say this is not sport and is erotic entertainment that panders to a particular male fetish market ?

Sybil Starr : LOL. . get on the mats. And hey, if it is sexy, even better.  Women are beautiful, strong women even sexier.  I would much rather watch two beautiful women fight competitively than men.  Especially if the women have skill on top of being attractive.

KAB : It seems you were simply too good for the competition. Is it true they had to bring in a tougher opponent especially for you on the last day ?

Sybil Starr : I didn't know that they were going to bring in tougher competition for me, but
they did and I appreciated it.

KAB : We've heard you didn't even lose one fall, what do you put your outrageous success in Greece down to ?

Sybil Starr : Outrageous success? I practice and play hard.

KAB : You've been in MMA training, how does this differ from wrestling ?

Sybil Starr : I practice striking and kicking in my mma classes.

KAB : Any fears of injury or an unfavourable outcome for you ina fight ?

Sybil Starr : If I lose and I gave my best, then I did not lose, I learned.  But I
must be able to fight again, so injury would be worst.

KAB : What made you decide to go take the step into cage fighting ?

Sybil Starr : I have just been waiting for the right opportunity and I have had a lot of encouragement from my teachers and fans.

KAB : Your first cage will be in November, who is your opponent and do you feel you'll be prepared and ready ?

Sybil Starr : I will be ready, yes. As of right now I am to face Melissa Vasquaez.

KAB : What fighting and wrestling ambitions do you have for the future ?

Sybil Starr : I just love to fight.  What ambitions do I have? How about kicking ass around the world?  Isn't that enough for one girl?  LOL

KAB : That sounds good to us, Sybil Starr - International Ass Kicker :)
