MEETS THE FIGHT GIRLS
Vivacious, Sexy and tough as nails, seven of the finest from the USA take part in a new reality show about to be aired on the Oxygen network in America.

Looking as if they had just walked out of the pages of a glossy magazine, seven of American's finest female fighters are set to make the general public take a second glance at the female fight world. Chosen from hundreds of fighters throughout the States, the seven would be champion kick boxers compete for a chance at the ultimate goal, a crack at a world championship fight in Thailand, home of kick boxing. The girls are put through a gruelling regime by Muay Thai legend Master Toddy. He must choose 3 to accompany him to Thailand to take on the impossible and defeat the best in the world, the female fighters of Thailand on their own home turf.

The programme chronicles the struggle each woman must overcome both physically and emotionally to be able to compete in the often brutal sport that is Mauy Thai. According to Lisa King AKA 'The Black Widow', "As far as I'm concerned this is the most dangerous form of martial arts,"

Mother of two Lisa typifies the courage of these modern American woman as they face up to the challenges involved of being a competitive kick boxer. Lisa has been competing at kickboxing for three years with an impressive 6 wins, 1 loss and 1 draw record. The fact that she considers it dangerous is no deterrent and Lisa is wiling to take the knocks and the bumps as she pursues her goals. No stranger to bruises and the odd black eye, Lisa can also dish it out and give as good as she takes as every true fighter must.

Master Toddy considers woman fearless and likens them to a tiger once in the ring. However, the girls not only must overcome physical challenges, but also emotional barriers. Moms, daughters and sisters, the girls have to dig deep inside to control conflicting and confusing emotions. Kourtney McCarty also featured in the program summed it up "To me it's not about the sport, it's about fighting myself,"

Follow the trials, tears and tribulations of these kick boxing ladies as they seek to disprove their Thai counterparts who see them as "beautiful but not able to fight" The programme premiers on the Oxygen network on Monday August the 7th.
